To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be nervous around new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Care Credit, cash and personal checks.
Boarding Policy and Consent Form
Thank you for choosing Clark Animal Care Center (CACC) as your boarding facility. As an AAHA certified hospital, we are dedicated to providing quality care for your pet(s) while boarding.
By signing the boarding agreement, you are giving consent to CACC to administer treatments, diagnostic tests, and/or other medical attention deemed necessary by our veterinarians, in which the owner assumes financial responsibility. Every attempt will be made to contact the owner at the numbers provided at the front desk when your pet is being checked in for boarding should a problem arise. However, in the event that the owner is not reachable, CACC will proceed with whatever is necessary for the health care of your pet, and by signing the agreement you are giving CACC full consent.
If your pet has a pre-existing illness or a history of a recurring medical condition (i.e. allergies, skin, ear or eye infections, etc.), please bring associated medications prescribed by your veterinarian. These medications must be in their original container. If these medications do not accompany your pet at the time of boarding, CACC will dispense and administer the appropriate medications. These charges will be added to the boarding invoice. There will be a $2.00 per day charge for administering oral medications. There will be a minimum charge of $2.00 for topical treatments each time they are administered. The administration cost for any injection is $12.00 each time it is given. CACC does NOT board pets that are diabetic requiring insulin injections due to the limited staff on weekends and holidays, and no overnight staff. CACC reserves the right to deny boarding to pets requiring constant medical attention, as there is limited staff on weekends and holidays, and no staff overnight. Upon owner’s request, an estimate can be provided prior to boarding.
Must be current, including the canine influenza series and the intranasal kennel cough for dogs (both of which must be completed at least one week prior to boarding).
All pets must be on year round parasite control. If your pet is not on these preventatives CACC will perform a heart-worm test if needed and then dispense and administer these medications upon admission to the kennel and these charges will be applied to the boarding invoice.
To help reduce stress and the incidence of vomiting or diarrhea, it is recommended that you bring your pet’s usual diet with directions and measurements. Should vomiting and/or diarrhea occur, a stool analysis will be performed and the appropriate medications will be dispensed and administered. Diets may need to be altered at the discretion of the veterinarians.
In order to keep your pet sanitary and as comfortable as possible, a bath will be given should your pet soil itself. Charges for this service are dependent on the size of the pet and the frequency required. These charges will be added to the boarding invoice.
Toys, Blankets, etc
To decrease the possibility of soiling or loss, please leave toys, blankets, food dishes, etc., at home. CACC provides blankets and bedding.
Pets are released during regular office hours, not on Sundays, holidays or after 1:00 PM on Saturdays. Pets will be discharged to no one other than the owner, unless the owner gives us written permission in advance.
Payment for all services rendered during boarding are to be paid in full at the time of discharge.
We appreciate your confidence in caring for your pet. Please call (585) 377-1160 with any questions.
